The Hungarian Decade Presidency has released a report analyzing anti-segregation policies in countries participating in the Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005-2015.

As all Decade countries put a special emphasis on anti-discrimination as a cross-cutting issue in their Decade Action Plans, Hungary defined anti-segregation policy as one of the priority issues during its Decade Presidency (July 1, 2007 – June 30, 2008).

In order to facilitate an exchange of best practices and experiences, the Hungarian government decided to initiate a survey on anti-segregation policies, in the education and housing sectors in particular, in the countries participating in the Decade of Roma Inclusion.

This survey, based on a questionnaire developed by the Hungarian Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, provides an in-depth overview of the legal environment regarding anti-segregation, measures to tackle or prevent segregation, and available data on segregation.
