The ALDE Group and MEP Viktória Mohácsi invite applications for an internship at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) and Member of the European Parliament Viktória Mohácsi invite applications for a three-month internship with the ALDE Group at the European Parliament in Brussels. The deadline for applications is November 5, 2008, and the internship will last from January 2009 to April 2009.
Requirements:
- The applicant must hold a university degree or be in the final year of his or her studies.
- The applicant must also have a good knowledge of one of the two working languages of the ALDE Group, French and English (preferably both).
- Knowledge of Romanes constitutes an advantage.
- The applicant should be knowledgeable about issues related to human rights (desegregation, migration, etc.) and the situation of Roma in Europe.
- The applicant should be well informed about European issues.
- The applicant should be well informed about European Roma organizations and activists as well as Roma politics in the EU27.
- The applicant should be computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook),
The internship provides:
- Direct work contact with ALDE staff and MEPs
- Direct work contact with 27 countries' MEPs and other EU institutions
- Professional training related to EU decision-making processes and institutions, and European politics
- Professional training related to European Roma rights and human rights
- The possibility to fulfil personal ideas concerning European Roma
- EUR 1,200 monthly remuneration
- Travel to Brussels and back home
