CARE North-West Balkans and its partner organizations—Better Future (Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina), the Center for Roma Initiatives (Niksic, Montenegro), Roma Women Center – Bibija (Belgrade, Serbia) and Roma Heart (Jagodnjak, Croatia)—organized a regional conference entitled "Where Are Roma Women Today?" on October 11-13, 2011, in Sarajevo.
The conference was one of the final activities of the three-year "Roma Women Empowerment" regional project implemented by CARE North-West Balkans within the framework of the Decade of Roma Inclusion 2005-2015, in partnership with Roma women’s nongovernmental organizations from the region. The project was financially supported by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CARE Norway Telethon Fund.
