The problems of Roma youth in Hungary are well known: most live in poverty and suffer from unemployment and lack of education. Over the past two decades government and civil sector organizations have developed to address these issues, yet very little is known about these groups. Empowering Roma Youth: The Hungarian Civil Youth Sector, Highlighting Roma Organizations, a study by the Youth Initiative of the Open Society Institute, compiles this difficult-to-find information and offers suggestions on how OSI can position itself to aid these organizations.
