The European Roma and Travellers Forum is pleased to invite you to participate at the Fifth Plenary Assembly of the European Roma and Travellers Forum which will take place as follows:

When: Wednesday, 24th February 2010 from 9:30 a.m. to noon

Where: Palais de l’Europe, Room 1, Council of Europe, Strasbourg, France


The Opening Ceremony will be attended by ERTF delegates from over 20 Council of Europe Member States, as well as prominent personalities from the global Roma community. In addition, selected guests representing international organisations and representatives of the diplomatic missions in Strasbourg will be present.

The Ceremony will be followed by a commemoration ceremony for the victims of the Romani Holocaust at the memorial stone in front of the Palais de l’Europe which you are also welcome to attend.

Media Set-up Details

If you wish to attend the opening ceremony of the Fifth Plenary Assembly of the European Roma and Travellers Forum, please fill in the Media Accreditation Form [available from the ERTF Secretariat] and return it by e-mail (ertf@ertf.org) or fax (+ 33 (0)3 90 21 56 58) to the ERTF Secretariat as soon as possible but not later than 10 February 2010.

The ERTF Secretariat can provide you with any necessary communication and networking support available. We can also arrange for interviews with the ERTF leadership, national delegates and representatives from the international Roma NGOs.

Please note that ERTF cannot cover travel and accommodation cost for media representatives. However the ERTF Secretariat can provide you with a list of hotels in Strasbourg.
