The REF Scholarship Program is recruiting a Hungarian intern to assist with administrative and coordination tasks during the period April-July 2011.


The REF Scholarship Program (REF/SP) would like to recruit a Hungarian intern to assist in carrying out administrative and coordination tasks related to four scholarship schemes during the period April-July 2011

 
Interested candidates should send a CV and a letter indicating their interests and the reasons they want to learn more about Roma education
 
Background:
 
Internship positions are an important component of the Roma Education Fund's activity as it allows young educated Roma to get acquainted with the REF and issues related to education of the Roma people. It also helps the REF to establish a network of young and dynamic people that can, after working with the REF, support in various ways the objective of the Fund and Roma inclusion in education systems.  
 
The selection is done by REF/SP senior management staff, one week prior to opening the position.

Responsibilities:
 
Communication with the Program Coordination units:
 
1. Ongoing communication, sending reminders, setting up the e-meetings with the Country Coordinators; (CC)
 
2. Coordinating with the individual CCs for the programming needs such as clarifications with reporting, mailing, missing contracts, filing and organizing country documents.
 
3. Helping in organizing the Law and Humanities Program (LHP) Annual Students’ Conference and LHP Coordinators’ Meetings in Kiev, coordinating with the CC for Ukraine, arranging travel and accommodation for the REF/SP staff (May-July)
 
4. Assisting in organizing the Orientation Sessions and National Selection Board (NSB) Meetings in 13 program countries (staff travel and accommodation (May-July);
 
5. Assisting in organizing the LHP student participation in the EVZ (http://www.stiftung-evz.de/eng/) Board of Trustees Meeting (Berlin) in June.
 
6. Coordinating the editing of posters in program countries (REF SP posters and flyers)
 
7. Coordinating the online application training schedules for the CCs and NSB members (May);
 
Office Administration (through April- July)
 
8. Assisting in organizing and managing the files (electronic and paper-based)
 
9. Helping to communicate with IT and developers about the needs of the Program
 
10. Assisting the Program Officer in preparing GMS links to the online applications, helping in testing the systems
 
11. Helping the program to prepare and launch the online evaluation and communication platform (online and GMS-based) by following the developments and reporting on the status of the developments to the program.
